Chris & Sons Limited are the largest hair & beauty cash & carry company in the UK who, in the new year, will be opening a brand new ‘state-of-the-art’ warehouse, distribution, cash & carry facility just off the m25/a10 at Enfield.
E W Marshall were chosen to install partitions forming the directors’ office suite as well as to install air-conditioning to these offices, the reception area and general office.
E W M worked closely with the client in the early stages to ensure that the finished product would meet their expectations. Walnut veneered doors were chosen so as to match those installed by the main contractors responsible for the original development of the new warehouse facility.
After digging deep into the O & M Manuals E W M managed to match the aluminium powder coat finish on the partitions to that of the building structure exactly as the client had requested.
As a finishing touch E W M installed matching integral blinds to the partitions and structural windows.
The overall result was an attractive office suite that was both practical and pleasing to the eye and all at a very competitive price.

E W Marshall has worked closely with TARSUS Group for a number of years now providing both a relocation service and supply of office furniture.This particular project involved so much more. The building in which TARSUS occupied part of the 4th floor had been undergoing a complete refurbishment over the last few years with only their floor remaining. Consequently a move up to the newly refurbished 9th floor was arranged with their landlord.
JOHN WYNNE, Managing Director of E W M was called in by the client with a view to our undertaking the relocation of office furniture and equipment as part of the process. John explained to the client that E W M could offer so much more. Following these discussions E W M were given the opportunity to enter the tendering process for the FIT-OUT contract.
Following consultation with the client our ‘in-house’ cad designer set about space planning the 9th floor. E W M soon came up with a solution that allowed the client to achieve all that they wanted from the area available. With this approved layout and a competitive price for the works; E W M were successful in the tender process. Building regulations were sought from the local council on behalf of the client and once satisfied works commenced. Under floor power track was installed together with data cabling with temporary connections being made between the 4th and 9th floors so to maintain continuity during the period when the client would be active on both floors.
INVOTEK partitioning was the chosen system for the offices, a new kitchen area was installed, airconditioning was part new and part relocated from the 4th floor. As soon as the works were nearing completion some new and some relocated furniture was installed and the client began moving staff from the 4th to 9th floor. During this brief period of time a proportion of the chairs and screens were taken off site back to our workshop and reupholstered. All the new systems functioned as expected and a smooth transition was soon complete.
